We salute all workplace Chief and Deputy Chief Wardens! You are in good hands with these capable and strong leaders who are trained to take charge in a workplace emergency fulfilling the requirements of the workplace emergency management plan. This course builds on the Emergency Warden course and provides skills and knowledge to Chief Wardens to prepare for workplace emergencies, to apply command – control – and coordination aspects to emergency procedures, to control the response to emergency reports, to coordinate the initial emergency response, and to liaise with emergency services. This course is designed to prepare Chief Wardens to confidently control workplace emergencies and lead the Emergency Control Organisation [ECO] responders. |

Participants will extinguish live fire in a controlled environment using extinguishers, fire blankets, and hose reel equipment. Our unique approach to training will empower and challenge. Realism in Training ensures that our training is uncompromising in its quality to arm participants with the skills to know what to do and how to do it should the need arise. |
Nationally Accredited Certification on Completion
On successful completion of this highly practical course, participants receive a nationally accredited statement of attainment for the following units of competency:
- CPPFES2005 Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
- PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation
Under the provisions of AS 3745-2010 refresher courses are to be completed every 2 years.
