The Responsible Service of Alcohol course provides you the knowledge and skills to work within a licenced premises where alcohol is served. It addresses issues surrounding harm minimisation in relation to the service of alcohol.

At Tactical, we have customised the RSA course to incorporate crucial legislative requirements and operating procedures relating to Security Agents in the capacity of Approved Crowd Controller.

Participants will gain confidence, competence and compliance under the current laws surrounding liquor and its service. By law, this course is required for all staff with patron contact on licenced premises, such security staff (Consumer and Business Services - Approved Crowd Controllers SA), bar staff,  waiters, concierge, door and reception staff.

NOTE: This unit covers the RSA skills and knowledge requirements that are common to all States and Territories, however some locations may have additional training requirements to address any differences. Always check with local licensing authorities for details or contact us to discuss this further.

 

Who should attend?

RSA certification is a mandatory training requirement to be licensed as an Approved Crowd Controller in South Australia. (Please note that liquor licensing requirements may vary in different states)

This course is suitable for those who:

  • Hold a CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations, which does not include SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol
  • Hold a Security Agents licence, and need your RSA accreditation to apply for an Approved Crowd Controller licensing endorsement
  • Require an RSA accreditation for other workplace requirements

Please note that this RSA unit is provided complementary to all persons undertaking Tactical’s CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations qualification.

 

Delivery

The Responsible Service of Alcohol program is delivered over one (1) day. The session focuses on practical skills in a fully simulated environment, and is customised to address situations that are specific to Approved Crowd Controllers. 

This program includes pre-course reading and assessment activities.

Nationally Accredited Certification on Completion
