CPP50619 Diploma of Security Risk Management
Risk Management training in Adelaide
This qualification is for security risk consultants who provide specialist advice on strategies to mitigate risk to people, property and assets including crowded places, as defined by Australia’s Strategy for Protecting Crowded Places from Terrorism (2017). Security risk consultants operating at this level work with a high level of autonomy to assess the current threat environment, assess risk management options, and prepare and implement security risk management plans and communication systems to respond to active threats.

Do you already hold Certificate IV level qualification in Security & Risk Management?
Are you already working in a security management role?
This program is designed for people with existing experience and prerequisite qualifications, who would like to develop their skills and knowledge in security risk management.
At Diploma level, participants self direct and manage to apply their skills, knowledge and judgment in the development of strategic initiatives whilst undertaking complex decision making processes.
Need formal qualification to validate your skills?
What is the benefit of holding a qualification? Experience counts, however, holding a qualification to validate your expertise increases recognition of your skills and knowledge.

Entry requirements
Participants must hold one of the following qualifications:
- CPP40707 Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management, or
- CPP40719 Certificate IV in Security Management, or
- CPP41519 Certificate IV in Security Risk Analysis
Duration
This course is comprised of 10units of competency which are delivered using a combination of:
- Contact days
- Online Knowledge Questions
- Project based Assessment Tasks
Attendance requirements include 8-10-days of in-class training, followed by progress sessions that will be scheduled as required.
Participants are required to complete the online Knowledge Assessments prior to commencement of in-class training.
Participants are allowed up to 24 months to complete this qualification.
