Course Information
CPP40719 Description
This qualification is for security supervisors and security business managers who may engage in sub-contracting arrangements for personnel and clients. Security supervisors lead teams to coordinate and implement a range of security operations and functions such as control room, monitoring centre, electronic security and guarding. Security business managers coordinate security manpower and services to clients while operating under complex regulatory and contracting arrangements.
Occupational titles may include:
- control room manager
- event security supervisor
- monitoring centre manager
- security business manager
- security operations supervisor
- technical security manager.

Who should do this training?
This program is designed for people who hold one or more of the following:
- Security Agents licence within jurisdiction of operation
- CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations
- CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations
- CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations
- Other relevant qualifications or current work experience
AND
- are interested in learning high level security management skills.

Study mode
This program is delivered using a combination of contact days, online knowledge assessments, and project-based assessment tasks.
Participants are required to attend all training days (10 contact days), followed by progress sessions that will be scheduled as required.
Participants are required to complete the online Knowledge Assessments prior to commencement of in-class training.
Participants are given up to 24 months to complete this qualification.
Course requirements
- A Unique Student Identifier [USI] usi.gov.au
- Completion of the pre-enrolment mandatory LLN assessment.
- High level digital communication skills [access to a computer or device for online learning].
- High level verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Physical capability to participate in all practical exercises and realistic scenarios.
